Berea-Midpark kicked off their season on the road on Sunday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 72-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gilmour Academy Lancers. Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyson Clay, who went 7 for 16 en route to 17 points. Andre' Alexander was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 12 points plus five rebounds.
The victory got Gilmour Academy back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea-Midpark will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Valley Forge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gilmour Academy, they will welcome Hawken at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
