Berean Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Miramonte since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will head out to square off against the Matadors at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Miramonte will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Berean Christian extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Mt. Diablo.

The team relied heavily on Isabella Tafoya, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alissa Jones, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Miramonte got the win against Campolindo on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-1. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Abby Warren made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, Talia Kardon was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Gianna Granzella, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Miramonte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Berean Christian's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Miramonte, their record now sits at 13-7.
Thursday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Berean Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Miramonte struggles in that department as they've averaged .473. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Berean Christian skirted past Miramonte 12-11 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
