Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Middletown Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Gamble Montessori's defense has only allowed 23.4 points per game this season, so Middletown Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Gamble Montessori put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 49-15 victory over Western Hills at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Gamble Montessori has posted since December 15, 2023.
Meanwhile, Middletown Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-26 loss at the hands of Legacy Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Middletown Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Legacy Christian Academy is ranked 153rd).
Gamble Montessori pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Middletown Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Gamble Montessori came up short against Middletown Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2015, falling 56-44. Can Gamble Montessori avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
