The biggest upset of the week belonged to Woodlake, who took down 697th ranked Woodlake, 26-15. Nicholas Portillo threw for 85 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
Corcoran moved up to 651 from 747 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in East Sequoia. The Panthers were able to make the jump by beating the Tigers 26-15.
Matthew Leslie was the best wideout in the league this week as Sierra Pacific fell to Strathmore. Leslie racked up three receptions for 64 yards. Lorenzo Anzoleaga helped Sierra Pacific's passing attack out by catching one ball for 34 yards.
Cody Styles was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 220 yards as the Spartans fell to the Spartans. Filo Garcia also contributed to the rushing game with 34 yards on the ground.
5-foot-7 quarterback Portillo of Corcoran is the league leader in passing yards this season with 561. He has also thrown nine touchdowns. On the ground, Strathmore's Styles has rushed for 1179 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Trent Myers. The Sierra Pacific star has 17 catches for 203 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lindsay takes on Woodlake. The Cardinals are in third place, while Scott Hernandez's team is in first place.
Jeromy Blackwell's team took down Sierra Pacific 42-19 last week, the largest margin of any game. Styles caught three passes for 43 yards in the win.
