It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Havelock Rams can now relate to. Their rough 42-21 loss to the Knights on Friday might stick with them for a while. Havelock's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Havelock's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jonathan Williams, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown. Williams was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards.
Havelock's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Northern Nash, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Havelock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northern Nash will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Seventy-First at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Seventy-First knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Northern Nash likes a good challenge.
