There's no place like home for Naugatuck, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolcott Eagles a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Greyhounds have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Not much got past Kevin Cestari, who gave up just five hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Wolcott off the board. Cestari has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Naugatuck saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jose Guzman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Guzman has posted since back in March.
