The Reed City Coyotes had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. Everything went their way against Tri County Area as Reed City made off with a 66-41 victory. Reed City has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
When it comes to explaining why Tri County Area lost, one person who can't be blamed is Connor Henry. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with three steals. Henry hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Reed City pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Tri County Area, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reed City will take on the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clare will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Coyotes are ranked 123rd). Tri County Area will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
