Pen Argyl was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Catasauqua apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Pen Argyl saw an underclassman step up: Mason Soos scored 13 points along with seven assists. Another player making a difference was Jack Mclaughlin, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Pen Argyl struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Pen Argyl's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Catasauqua, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Pen Argyl will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Palisades at 12:45 p.m. Palisades is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Catasauqua, they will head out on the road to challenge Palmerton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Palmerton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Catasauqua in Pennsylvania (Palmerton is ranked 301st, while Catasauqua is ranked 613th).
