The Morgan Huskies stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Hale Ray at home to the tune of 58-23. With Morgan ahead 34-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Morgan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Johnson out in front who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Johnson is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Passante, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Morgan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Hale Ray, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Morgan will be playing at home against Cromwell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cromwell is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Hale Ray, they will head out on the road to face off against Old Saybrook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
