There's no place like home for Dighton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Rawlins County Buffaloes on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Dighton who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 17-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Rawlins County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jazmin Rodriguez had 14 digs.

The win got Dighton back to even at 1-1. As for Rawlins County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Dighton has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Decatur Community on the 2nd. As for Rawlins County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Maywood/Hayes Center on the 4th.
