The Weber Warriors entered their tilt with the Farmington Phoenix with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Weber walked away with a 53-42 win over Farmington on Friday. For Weber, this counts as revenge for the 43-27 defeat Farmington walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Abby Sayer was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rylee Jugler, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Weber pushed their record up to 6-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
Weber will head out on the road to square off against Syracuse at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Syracuse presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Weber in Utah (Syracuse is ranked 13th, while Weber is ranked 92nd). As for Farmington, they will be playing at home against Fremont at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
