North Creek and Issaquah are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Jaguars will challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Issaquah will be up against a hot North Creek squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Jaguars put the hurt on Bothell with a sharp 13-2 win on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Jaguars have posted against the Cougars since April 22, 2019.
Reagan Fleming spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, North Creek let Jackey Boschee and Grace Pinder run wild. Boschee went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Pinder went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Pinder has posted since back in May of 2025. Jordyn Branham was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
North Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bothell only posted an OBP of .174.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Issaquah). Everything went their way against Lake Washington on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Kangaroos: they've now won three in a row.
The team relied heavily on Riley Baumann (2026), who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Chan (2027), who went 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
North Creek's record is now 7-4. As for Issaquah, their record now sits at 6-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Issaquah struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
North Creek might still be hurting after the 10-3 loss they got from Issaquah when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
