Indiana added to an already-impressive 2012 recruiting class Thursday with the commitment of
Lawrence Central (Indianapolis, Ind.) junior
Jeremy Hollowell.
"It's been a long process. He took his time and made the right choice for him," Lawrence Central head coach J.R. Shelt said. "Indiana has a good recruiting class for 2012 and a good big man (Cody Zeller) coming in ahead of him. He's going to IU at the right time, so I think it's a good decision."
The 6-foot-7 wing-forward averaged 18.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for the Bears this season. Lawrence Central's season ended with a 15-10 record after a sectional final loss to
North Central (Indianapolis).
Hollowell joins
Kevin Ferrell of
Park Tudor (Indianapolis),
Peter Jurkin of
United Faith Christian Academy (Charlotte, N.C.),
Ron Patterson of
Broad Ripple (Indianapolis) and
Hanner Perea of
La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) to give the Hoosiers the top group of junior commitments in the nation.
