Dilley and Lytle are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Dilley will welcome Lytle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dilley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Dilley lost 9-3 to Hondo on Friday. The Wolves have struggled against the Owls recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Dakota San Miguel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Kassidy Romeo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Even though they lost, Dilley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lytle didn't have quite enough to beat Cotulla on Friday and fell 5-4. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kaycee Galindo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Giselle Esparza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
Dilley's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Lytle, they now have a losing record of 7-8-1.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dilley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .572. However, it's not like Lytle struggles in that department as they've averaged .466. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dilley took their victory against Lytle in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4. Will Dilley repeat their success, or does Lytle has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
