Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loachapoka). They put the hurt on the Beulah Bobcats with a sharp 53-29 victory on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Loachapoka got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Essense Key out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Key has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Jalady Winchester was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

The victory got Loachapoka back to even at 2-2. As for Beulah, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Loachapoka will venture away from home to take on Russell County at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beulah, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Horseshoe Bend at 4:00 p.m. on December 2.
