Tarpon Springs posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 68-47 margin over Pinellas Park. That's two games straight that Tarpon Springs has won by exactly 21 points.
Tarpon Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Geramyah Porter led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 steals. Porter is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jomar Encarnacion, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Clearwater came up short against Seminole on Friday and fell 59-52. Clearwater has struggled against Seminole recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Tarpon Springs' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Clearwater, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
