The Pen Argyl Green Knights lost against the Moravian Academy Lions back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Pen Argyl's tough 42-20 loss to the Lions might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pen Argyl in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.
Defeat or not, Pen Argyl got some senior leadership from Ethan Holland and Chase Kennedy. Holland scored 11 points along with eight rebounds, while Kennedy. scored six points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holland has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pen Argyl struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They are winless (0-3) when they just don't pass the ball.
Pen Argyl has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which is still a better percentage than their 4-16 record this season. As for Moravian Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
Pen Argyl will stay at home for another game and welcome the Crusaders at 12:45 p.m. on February 3rd. Notre Dame-Green Pond knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully the Green Knights like a good challenge. Moravian Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Warriors at 12:45 p.m. on February 3rd.
