Basketball Recap: Grasso Tech Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grasso Tech extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Julius Washington. The Grasso Tech Eagles walked away with a 71-63 win over the Ledyard Colonels on Saturday thanks in part to Washington, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 38 points and nine boards. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Ethan Chacha- Mizhquiri, who posted eight points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (two).

Grasso Tech's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ledyard, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grasso Tech will welcome Montville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Grasso Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Ledyard, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Windham at 12:30 p.m. on December 30th.
