Seven Rivers Christian will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Redeemer Christian, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Seven Rivers Christian came out on top against Redeemer Christian by a score of 54-42 on Friday.

Seven Rivers Christian had a senior duo take command as Michael Johnston dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards and Dominic Stasio dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 boards. Johnston has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Nott, who posted eight points.

Seven Rivers Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Academy at the Lakes had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down the Archers 54-39.

Seven Rivers Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Academy at the Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-9.

Seven Rivers Christian and Academy at the Lakes were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but Seven Rivers Christian came up empty-handed after a 44-43 loss.
