As for Kossuth, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
On Kossuth's side, they got a great performance from Baylor Kelly as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). Kelly has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kossuth's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Wilbanks, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
