The Poteet Aggies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 78-57 loss at the hands of Crystal City. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Crystal City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Rousseau, who scored 22 points along with three steals and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Eli Mata, who scored 23 points.
Poteet's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Crystal City, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poteet will challenge South San Antonio West at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crystal City, they will head out on the road to face off against Hondo at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hondo is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
