The Scotts Hill Lions will square off against the Chester County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Scotts Hill will be strutting in after a win while Chester County will be coming in after a loss.
Scotts Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Liberty Tech Magnet get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Chandler Crider was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since March 3rd. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Scotts Hill got a massive performance out of Brady Beecham, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Beecham a new career-high. Jackson Crider was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Scotts Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.8.
Meanwhile, Chester County scored first but ultimately less than Hardin County in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Tigers since May 13, 2023.
Like Scotts Hill, Chester County also got a great game from a two-way player: Dean Estes. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Estes also tossed a walk, which is notable because Chester County is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise. Estes was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
Estes wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Weaver, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Scotts Hill's victory bumped their record up to 2-10-1. As for Chester County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
