The Veritas Prep Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season. They took their contest on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 70-43 win over NFL Yet Academy. The win was nothing new for Veritas Prep as they're now sitting on three straight.
Veritas Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Twist, who scored 15 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Twist scored 15 or more points. Jared Barrett was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Veritas Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for NFL Yet Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Veritas Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Williams at 10:30 a.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Williams focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday. NFL Yet Academy will be staying on the road on January 5, 2024 to face off against Arizona Lutheran Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
