After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hilliard Bradley, the South Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They secured a 52-46 W over Walnut Ridge. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
South's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marquan Felts-Lipsey, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lajames Washington, who scored 14 points.
South's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Walnut Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
South will head out on the road to face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Independence comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Walnut Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
