The Harrison Raiders will square off against the Kankakee Valley Kougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Harrison's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Benton Central 10-0. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
The result came thanks to Lilly Kiefer's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Ashley Dunk was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Waitkoff, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Harrison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Kankakee Valley not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5th (when they won 12-4). They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Hanover Central. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kougars.
Jessica Beauchamp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julia Mahmet, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Patience Cole was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Kankakee Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Harrison, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Harrison skirted past Kankakee Valley 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2018. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Kougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
