Evant lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Molly Waldrum, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Luwi Rodriguez, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Evant has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season. As for Zephyr, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Evant will head out on the road to challenge Sidney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sidney is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Zephyr, they will be playing at home against Gustine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gustine will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1273rd, while Zephyr is ranked 617th).
