Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Illiana Christian). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 79-27 victory over the Whiting Oilers. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Illiana Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Bultema, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Bultema has posted since back in December of 2023. Lucas Reidelbach was another key player, putting up nine points and seven steals.

Illiana Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Illiana Christian's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Whiting, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Illiana Christian will welcome Andrean at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whiting, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-56 defeat against Lake Station Edison on the 11th.
