A Season-Best Effort from Dontrell Mims Leads Hoke County over Southern Lee
Dontrell Mims produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hoke County to the win on Friday. Mims picked up 5.5 sacks and made ten total tackles.
With the victory, Hoke County broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. Mims and Hoke County will venture away from home to square off against Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Zymire Spencer Dazzles in Pinecrest Win
Zymire Spencer continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game with at least 127 rushing yards. He rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 87 yards.
Lee County had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Spencer it was a similar story. Spencer rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry the last time he and the Yellow Jackets duked it out back in October of 2023.

Another Pinecrest player making an appearance on this list is Chris Najm. He rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.
This season, Najm has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 98.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns.
