Baseball Recap: Phil Campbell Extends Winning Streak to Three

Phil Campbell barely beat Tharptown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Phil Campbell Bobcats never let the Tharptown Wildcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Saturday. Considering the Bobcats have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Phil Campbell's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tharptown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Phil Campbell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Red Bay on the 8th. As for Tharptown, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Tharptown Wildcats face off against Phil Campbell Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. They have given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
