Bethel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was H. Howard out in front who scored 21 points along with six assists and five steals. The game was Howard's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of D. Brown, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Despite the defeat, De Anza had strong showings from Ahmari Otis, who scored 22 points, and Christopher Smith, who scored 19 points. The contest was Otis' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Jacari Madison was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Bethel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for De Anza, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethel will take on Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Swett is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for De Anza, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Vallejo at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Vallejo is ranked 581st, while De Anza is ranked 589th).
