The Hyndman Charter School Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 67-19 loss at the hands of Salisbury Elk Lick. Hyndman Charter School was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.
Leading Salisbury Elk Lick to victory were Drake Sellers and Lance Jones. Sellers scored 16 points along with five assists, while Jones scored 21 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Salisbury Elk Lick's points. Brody Rugg was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Hyndman Charter School bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Salisbury Elk Lick, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Hyndman Charter School will be home for the holidays to greet Blacklick Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salisbury Elk Lick's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. Hancock presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Salisbury Elk Lick in their respective states (Hancock is ranked 236th in Maryland, while Salisbury Elk Lick is ranked 495th in Pennsylvania).
