Jackson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taliah Cornish out in front who scored 14 points. The game was Cornish's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Kennedie Cooper was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Jackson's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Villa Rica, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-3.
Jackson will take on Mays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mays will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Jackson is ranked second). As for Villa Rica, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Banneker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Banneker is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
