Meanwhile, even though Hawley scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, Park Rapids still came out on top. Park Rapids took their match against Hawley 73-62. The win was just what Park Rapids needed coming off of a 80-43 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Park Rapids to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Larson, who scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Larson has scored at least 25% of Park Rapids' points. Another player making a difference was Blake Morris, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Pequot Lakes now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Park Rapids, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything came up roses for Pequot Lakes against Park Rapids when the teams last played back in March as the squad secured a 75-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pequot Lakes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
