The Letchworth Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Letchworth will be strutting in after a win while Wayland-Cohocton will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Letchworth has not done well against Caledonia-Mumford recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Letchworth came out on top against Caledonia-Mumford by a score of 47-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Letchworth.
Meanwhile, Wayland-Cohocton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hornell, falling 70-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wayland-Cohocton in their matchups with Hornell: they've now lost eight in a row.
Letchworth is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Wayland-Cohocton, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11.
Letchworth came up short against Wayland-Cohocton when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 35-31. Can Letchworth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
