It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ripley had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Frankfort Falcons. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
The result came thanks to Jackson Curry's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.
At the plate, Bryson Casto was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was John Cummings, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Ripley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.
Ripley's record is now 24-8. As for Frankfort, their loss dropped their record down to 23-9.
