Eleanor Roosevelt is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Laurel: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Eleanor Roosevelt blew Laurel out of the water with a 57-14 final score. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 31 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eleanor Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than McKenzie D'Antignac, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Camille Brandon, who posted ten points along with seven boards and five assists.
Eleanor Roosevelt was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Douglass hadn't done well against Largo recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Douglass came out on top against Largo by a score of 62-53.
Douglass' win came from a few key players Eleanor Roosevelt will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Anaiya Morrison, who went 9 for 19 en route to 28 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Khloe Thomas was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points.
Eleanor Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Douglass, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's matchup: Eleanor Roosevelt has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 39.4% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Douglass, though, as they've only made 22.3% of their threes this season. Given Eleanor Roosevelt's sizable advantage in that area, Douglass will need to find a way to close that gap.
