After losing to the Northwood Chargers the last time they met, the Seaforth Hawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Seaforth rang in the new year with a 46-36 victory over Northwood on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Seaforth.
Seaforth got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabby White out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which White has scored at least 25% of Seaforth's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Ballard , who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Seaforth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Northwood, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seaforth will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against North Moore at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. North Moore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 345th, while Seaforth is ranked 23rd). As for Northwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Graham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Graham is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
