The Cedarcrest Red Wolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Highline Pirates at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedarcrest will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Cedarcrest is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Renton with a sharp 17-5 victory on Wednesday. The Red Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.
Quinn Larson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Larson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Cedarcrest got a massive performance out of Braden Bottemiller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Bottemiller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Pfister, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
Cedarcrest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.6.
Meanwhile, Highline came up short against Evergreen on Wednesday and fell 7-2.
Zennin Luiz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Cedarcrest's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Highline, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Highline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cedarcrest hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. It's a different story for Highline, though, as they've only averaged .231. Will they be able to contain Cedarcrest's hitters?
Cedarcrest came out on top in a nail-biter against Highline in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
