The Germantown Academy Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge Friends' Central at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Germantown Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Germantown Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against St. Joseph's Prep on Monday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Patriots' first of the season.

Sean McGettigan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Friends' Central suffered their biggest defeat since March 24, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 8-1 to Metrolina Christian Academy. The loss put an end to Friends' Central's undefeated start to the season.

Germantown Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Friends' Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
