McLean County has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Hancock County Hornets at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully McLean County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Monday.
Last Monday, McLean County strolled past the Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 53-37.
McLean County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Katie Mccoy out in front who scored seven points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Miller, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Hancock County gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 58-6 win over Frederick Fraize at home. The victory was just what Hancock County needed coming off of a 72-46 defeat in their prior contest.
McLean County's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Hancock County, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
McLean County opened the new year with a less-than-successful 58-50 loss to the Hornets. Can McLean County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
