Northwest Guilford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-12.
Parkland better focus on containing Cali Straub and Emary Moore as the pair were huge in Northwest Guilford's win. Straub had nine digs and two aces, while Moore had 20 assists and three digs. Those 20 assists gave Moore a new career-high. Jamison Pugh also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Northwest Guilford was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 8-3 when they serve at least ten aces.
Northwest Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Parkland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
