The Crossett Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Warren Lumberjacks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Crossett, who comes in off a win.
Warren will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Crossett extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Eagles came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against Hamburg.
Braelyn Campbell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Warren suffered their closest loss since April 9, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Woodlawn by a score of 7-5. The Lumberjacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crossett's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
Warren's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Crossett has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Warren, though, as they've been averaging only 2.5 strikeouts. Will Crossett keep running through batters, or will the Lumberjacks buck the trend?
Crossett suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Warren in their previous matchup on April 4th. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
