The IC Catholic Prep Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the York Dukes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. IC Catholic Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
IC Catholic Prep gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Fenwick by a score of 8-5.
Madelynn Dinino made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabella Jelic, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Kelly Cahill also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, York entered their tilt with Lyons on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.
The result came thanks to Sophia Lanciloti's shutout, as she gave up just four hits.
On the hitting side, Kayla Winters was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Lillianah Burda was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
York pushed their record up to 18-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for IC Catholic Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.
York's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: IC Catholic Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448.
