Redmond posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Juanita and snuck past 61-59.
Redmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Iha Kasam, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Kasam hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Sofia Locati, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Woodinville came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 58-27 win over Inglemoor at home. Woodinville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Redmond's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Woodinville, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their 19th straight at home.
Redmond was dealt a bruising 93-36 defeat at the hands of Woodinville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Redmond avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
