St. Maries waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Priest River Spartans 22-3. While the Lumberjacks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Lyssa Watkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.
