The Northeast Dubois Jeeps lost against the Barr-Reeve Vikings back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Northeast Dubois took a 62-47 bruising from Barr-Reeve. While losing is never fun, Northeast Dubois can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Barr-Reeve is ranked 80th).
Several Jeeps players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Schroering, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Grant Goller, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.
Barr-Reeve got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Seth Wagler out in front who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wagler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Donnie Miller, who scored 12 points.
Northeast Dubois has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Barr-Reeve, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.
Northeast Dubois will be playing in front of their home fans against Perry Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northeast Dubois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Barr-Reeve, they will head out on the road to challenge South Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
