The Skyline Prep Bengals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 62-26 loss at the hands of BASIS - Scottsdale. Skyline Prep has not had much luck with BASIS - Scottsdale recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
BASIS - Scottsdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Tropper, who scored 15 points along with eight steals. Tropper hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nithish Prakash, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Skyline Prep's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-9.
Skyline Prep will be playing at home against Academy of Sports Science at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. BASIS - Scottsdale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against BASIS - Chandler at 6:45 p.m. on January 26th.
