Among those leading the charge for Wilsonville was senior Nathan Overholt, who passed for 276 yards and 6 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Overholt's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past eight games.
Meanwhile, Pendleton brought a seven-game winning streak into their matchup against Benson Tech last Friday; they left with a eight-game streak. Pendleton steamrollered Benson Tech 61-18. Followers of Pendleton probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected seven blowout victories.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 8-0. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
