Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cortez to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Kaden Ramirez, who  went 7 of 10  en route to 17 points and four  steals. The dominant performance gave  Ramirez a new career-high in  points.  Nygel Lindsey was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on 16 points and 17  rebounds.
 Cortez  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in seven consecutive  games.

Cortez pushed their record up to 15-3 with the  win, which was their ninth straight  on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Washington, their defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-8.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cortez will challenge Dysart at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Washington, they and Sierra Linda will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday without much rest having both just played. Washington knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Sierra Linda likes a good challenge.
