Kennedy Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Kennedy Catholic pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Auburn Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Auburn Riverside has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kennedy Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts.
